LITTLE DEATH HOLLOW
Here is an easy non-technical canyon to explore that has some very good color, alternating between narrows with highly sculptured walls, and open spaces with green cottonwoods standing out against the high Wingate sandstone cliffs. This would be a good one to catch at the right time in the fall when the trees have turned. But even in the spring the oranges and greens make for some interesting contrasts. The slot part of the canyon has enough curves to allow a few good reflected light-glows (where the sun hits low on a hidden wall and bounces up on the viewable sandstone). Ref.
