TAKAMAKA

This is the neatest canyon I have ever been in.  Water pouring in from everywhere.  Beautiful vegetation, lush wall, blue lakes.......  A true Dream Canyon.

Here is an excerpt from out trip report:

Takamaka1 gets right into it. At first light we started an 80 meter 2-pitch drop just to the left of a huge waterfall. You can see the scope of this huge canyon spreading out below you. Vertical walls, vegetated cliffs, water falling in everywhere. Then there’s a 4-pitch water-wall culminating in a 60m free-fall through the mist.  Finally the whole summation of water accrued thus far cascades into a narrow gorge in what must be one of the most beautiful spots on the planet (see picture above).  Lost world, canyon of the clouds,... words pale.
