LANDSCAPES Prime locations for wildlife-in-the-scene photography are places with dramatic mountains, lakes, or other geology, along with a natural tendency for animals to congregate in the foreground. The best locations I have found are: Yellowstone National Park in Winter. Denali National Park, Alaska, in August (especially when the tundra turns red in the short fall season). Amboseli National Park, Kenya. Wildlife below Kilimanjaro. In spite of the dust and the crowds of tour buses, it doesn't get much better. Etosha Pan National Park, Namibia. Wildlife against or on the stark salt pan. Okavango Delta. A watery wildlife wonderland. |
